Joleen Fay Lundgren
January 8, 1975 - January 14, 2022
Joleen (Bynum) Lundgren of Brunswick, ME, 47, died January 14, 2022 after battling to repair her heart. Despite her poor physical heart, she will always live in the hearts of her husband, Bryan Lundgren, daughter, Avery, age 12, parents, Allen Bynum and Janelle Smith, and all of those whose lives she touched. We’ve lost a loving wife, a loving mother, and a daughter. Our dog Luna has lost her person. The world has lost a caring and compassionate soul. It is fitting that Joleen passed days before the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Day of Service. She believed that all people equally deserve compassion and acceptance despite race, religion, origin, or sexual identity. In lieu of flowers, donations, or other gifts, please share a memory on her tribute wall and consider doing random acts of kindness for people in need or choosing to better accept and share compassion with others - she believed we all deserved it. These acts will help rebalance the premature loss of this caring and compassionate soul. A special memory: Joleen worked as a freelance writer for various websites and published a children’s book. One of her proudest moments was visiting the set of the movie “Safe Haven,” as a writer for one of Felicity Huffman’s websites. There she was able to meet the actors Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough and to interview the writer Nicholas Sparks. She was even in one of the crowd scenes. She glowed for months after that.
