Lorelei “Lori” E. (Libby) Michaud, 56 of Hollis Center ME passed away February 12, 2022 at a local hospice facility after a courageous battle of a terminal disease. She had a kind heart and amazing soul. She would light up any room she entered and truly enjoyed playing jokes and making people smile. She was born on August 24th at Brighton Medical Center in Portland ME to Ralph M. Libby Sr. and Elizabeth (Pierson) Libby. She grew up in Windham and Buxton. In her earlier years she worked as a CNA. For the last 18 years, she worked for the Maine Turnpike Authority as a toll collector. She was also a certified herbalist, Reiki Master Teacher and crystal healer. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, canning, spending time with her family and her annual October trip to Salem, MA. She is survived by her husband of almost 39 years, Gregory Michaud Sr. of Hollis center. Her children, Gregory Michaud Jr. and wife Miranda, of Jefferson. Maddox Michaud and wife Hope of Lisbon Falls and her 6 grandchildren. Her sisters, Tonya Dube and husband Allen of Hiram and Sharon Snow of Buxton. Her brothers Ralph Libby Jr. of Limington, Leslie Libby of Limington, and David Libby of Maryland. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She is predeceased by her parents, Ralph and Elizabeth Libby Sr., daughter Amanda. Sisters Jody “June” Brown and Bernita Murphy, brother Donald Libby, and niece Christa (Murphy) McNally. The family would like to express gratitude for the staff at Maine Healthcare at Home, Hospice of Southern Maine and the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House for the amount of dedication and care they provided Lori over the course of her battle. A graveside memorial with be held on May 7th at 11:00 am at Bear Hill Cemetery in Hollis. A private BBQ will be held after in her memory. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Lorelei’s name.
