Tracy Lee Taylor
January 7, 1969 - January 23, 2022
Tracy Taylor passed away peacefully at home, January 23, 2022. She was born on 1/7/69 in Norwich, CT and was the youngest of five children. She was predeceased by her mother Josephine Taylor. Tracy leaves behind, a loving family of 4 siblings and their spouses, Deb (Rick) Hebert, Sue (Steve) Gamble, Michele (Frank) Majewski and Jim Carson, along with several nieces and nephews she adored. Tracy moved to Maine in January 1989 upon her mothers passing, to live with her sister Deb and her husband Rick, where they became a strong and loving family for the next 33 years. For over 25 years, Tracy worked at the Morrison Center Seedlings Program and then their Riverside Program. She loved growing plants and flowers at Morrison’s greenhouse, and knew almost every job involved in that process. At Riverside she enjoyed cooking, making crafts, and singing and dancing to Frank playing his guitar. Everyone who met Tracy couldn’t resist her sweetness and compassion and she was fortunate to be surrounded by deeply caring family and friends. Tracy learned early on that if you are kind to people, they will be kind in return. She loved people and was always the life of the party. She attended several family weddings and caught the bouquet at every one of them. She truly cherished those bouquets and having a garter put on her leg afterwards. She lived in the moment, was always in a good mood, loved to laugh and flirt and she always forgave quickly and easily. Tracy never complained about anything or any one. She embraced each day with whatever abilities she had and every day was a “good day”. Tracy was a theme park junkie and vacationed in Florida many times. She also loved boating on Sebago Lake and going on cruises with her sister Deb, dressing up for formal dinners and dancing the night away in one of the ships clubs. Socializing, watching movies and singing and dancing was what Tracy loved to do the most. Her favorite local band was The Don Campbell Band, and Don always took the time to make one of his biggest fans feel special. On Tracy’s behalf, I want to give a special ‘thank you’ to the following people, whose hearts are bigger than anything imaginable and who made significant impacts on Tracy’s life: -The Hebert family -The Carson family -The Malpass family -Bessie Daniels (Tracy’s guardian angel) and her staff in Naples -The Benish family -Southern Maine Hospice -Morrison Center -Port Resources -Woodfords Family Services - Janelle -Don Campbell
