Albert A. Ricci died unexpectedly early June 21, 2021 at Central Maine Medical Center after a courageous battle with liver cancer. Albert was born in Providence, R.I. the son of Americo Albert Ricci and Romilda DeFusco Ricci. He worked for Laborers Local 271 in Providence, R.I. doing construction throughout his early years before becoming disabled. He moved to Mars Hill, Maine where he met his companion Cynthia Faulk and they bought a home together in Jay, Maine. Cynthia passed away in 2017. Albert is survived by his daughter Michi Ayessa Dela Rosa and her mother Emily Sioson Dela Rosa of Bataan, Phillipines; his brother Richard Ricci and nephew Giancarlo Ricci of Lincoln, R.I.; his Uncle Ralph Defusco of No. Providence, R.I.; Marc Bernier and Marianne Snow of Auburn, Maine; Tina Bisson of Turner, Maine; Robert and Dianna Bernier of Auburn, Maine; Patricia and Robert Bolduc of Wales, Maine; and Paul and Denise Bernier of Colorado Springs, Colorado. Albert had a passion for raising Guppy fish and maintained an elaborate hatchery in his home. He had contacts through out the country to trade and sell his guppies and he held many awards for quality breeding. He enjoyed maintaining his home in Jay and, with regularity, reached out to his many relatives and friends to discuss current events and common issues. Albert was engaging, and even though he was in great discomfort, he would not complain or burden others with his problems. Albert was a colorful and considerate man and he will be missed. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff of CMMC for their professionalism and care with particular appreciation to Dr. Peter Tilney. There will be a private family grave site service in the near future. There will also be a celebration of Albert's life at the home of Marc Bernier on Sunday, August 1, 2021.
