Alice Mae Reynolds passed away December 8th 2022, on her mother's birthday, in Buxton ME where she received excellent care at home from Compassus Hospice Care. She was born March 6 1925 in Burlington Vt., daughter of Orville and Ellen James. She was married to Roger Reynolds in 1947 for 52 years when he passed away. Alice was a master seamstress making, peignoir sets sold in Manhattan NY, while working for VanRalt of Middlebury VT. Alice also worked for Kennedy brothers and in later years she made teddy bears for Vermont teddy bear company. In her spare time Alice loved to travel, garden, paint, sew, knit, crochet, embroider, make jewelry, scrapbook and mostly recently she learned to diamond dot embroidery. On average she read three to four novels per week as an avid reader. Alice is survived Alice's survived and greatly missed by her sister Patricia James of Hinesburg VT, her son Jeffrey Reynolds and his wife Laurie of Buxton ME, her daughters Julie Curtis and Judy booth of Lincoln VT, her daughter-in-law Lisa Reynolds of North Carolina. Her grandchildren James Curtis of Bristol Vermont, Jesse Reynolds of Charlotte VT, Amanda Ford of North Carolina ,Stephanie Jackson and Benjamin booth of Plattsburgh NY, Justin Reynolds of Biddeford ME, Jason Reynolds of Buxton ME. She also had nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and friends. Alice loved flowers and birds so a celebration of her life will take place in late spring or early summer when the flowers are in bloom and the birds are singing.
