Colleen Sue (McGuire) Ayers passed away January 23rd, 2025 at age 68. Colleen is survived by her son, Patrick Emery, daughter-in-law, Amanda Norton, and her two grand-dogs, Genevieve and Clementine. Colleen is also survived by her three siblings, Randy Rogers, Michael (Mitch) McGuire, and Pat McGuire. Colleen was predeceased by her two parents, May McGuire and Earl McGuire. Colleen lived a full and adventurous life, having moved to San Francisco after high school, she lived in the city at the same time Harvey Milk was the mayor. Colleen fondly spoke of this time of her life, having traveled to Africa and England. Colleen later moved to the east coast to have her son, Patrick, and worked in medical administration for the family physician, Dr. Gagnon. Colleen and Patrick moved back to San Francisco, where she worked for Lash group, before briefly living in Florida, and then settling in Maine. Colleen loved politics and followed them closely, offering her opinions and relating current and past political events. Colleen was an avid reader, and always had her nose in a book. Her humour and warmth will be sorely missed.
