Erica Rae Roy, 43, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 24, 2021. Erica was born on June 10, 1977 in Houlton, Maine; the daughter of Larry Larson and Melanie (Brown) Shields. Erica was a 1996 graduate of Southern Aroostook Community School (SACS), and a 2000 graduate of the University of Maine, graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration. She worked an as IT Supervisor at Maine Medical in Portland, Maine. Erica's greatest joy in the world was her 3 boys, Braiden, Garrett, and Logan. Erica had a special love for animals and volunteered at animal rehabilitation facilities. She loved being outside, going camping whenever possible, sunbathing, swimming...anything she could do outdoors with her boys. She also enjoyed scrapbooking on those days when outdoor activities weren't possible She is survived by her father Larry (Dianna) Larson of Linneus; her mother Melanie (Paul) Shields of Palm Bay, Fl, her three sons, Braiden, Garrett, and Logan Roy; her 2 brothers Aaron Larson and Nolan Shields; her 2 nieces Whitney and Vanessa Larson; and a very special friend Rich Burton, who was near and dear to her; as well as many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins. A celebration of Erica's life will be held on Thursday, April 29, 2021 from 2-4 pm at Erica's house at 15 Eisenhower Ct, Naples. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Animal Rehabilitation Charity of your choice. Arrangements are in the care of Maine Cremation Care.
