Eunice Pauline Craig(Pickles) 96, of Durham, Me. passed peacefully on Aug. 8th at Russell Park in Lewiston after a period of declining health. Born in New Hampshire February 28, 1925 the Daughter of Fred and Ruth Eccles she attended Concord schools and after graduating from Gordon College, Boston in 1947 with a B.A. in Theology married Woodrow Craig in August of that year and they settled in Durham to raise a family of five. As a 74 year member of the Lisbon Falls Baptist Church with a heart for the gospel, youth, and missions she taught Sunday school, Vacation Bible School, and youth groups for many years and served on numerous boards and committees. She had a great love for God and country, family and friends, the ocean, her English Ancestry as a first generation daughter of immigrants, and a deep affection for the Red Sox and Celtics. She enjoyed travel, playing piano, knitting, coloring, and reading. She was predeceased by a brother David Eccles of (Nashua, NH), and by her husband "Woody" in 1994, but survived by her children Sheryl ( Randolph, ME), Robin ( Skowhegan, ME), Brian ( Bowdoin, ME), David ( Yarmouth, ME)and Karen (Bristow, VA), and their spouses and well loved by 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grands. Her kindness, craft projects and quick quirky humor will be missed by all who knew her. She could be a scamp and gatherings with family and friends always resulted in a good deal of laughter. She always wore a smile. The family wishes to thank The Meadows in Greene for providing such a wonderful loving home for Mom these last couple of years, they're the best.
