Westbrook- Everett J. Hall, "Lowgear", 45, died October 19, 2023, at his home. He was born on November 9, 1977, the son of Everett and Loretta (McNally) Hall. He was a proud member of the Saccarappa Lodge #86 A.F. & A.M and took great pride in his role as Knowledge Transfer Systems Engineer II at IDEXX, obtaining his Black Belt in Six Sigma in 2014 and was working toward his Master Black Belt (Expert). His impact on those around him was unparalleled, often inspiring confidence in others and putting them at ease. He loved to help people realize their full potential and lived a life of honesty and integrity. Everett's own brand of humor, wholehearted laugh and creative ingenuity will always be remembered by those lucky enough to know him. His charming charisma was due in part to the sparkle of playfulness and innocent mischief in his eyes and the contagious smile that was usually on his face. Just about everyone who knew Everett loved him and he had a gift for bringing people together. He had many lifelong friends, including those from UMPI, NMCC and the Kappa Delta Phi Mu chapter (Black and Gold Forever). He also founded the GEEXX Community at IDEXX, bringing hundreds of employees together, improving collaboration in the workplace. Everett embraced "all things geek" and his brilliant mind was never idle. Whether playing D&D, sharing funny memes and posts on social media, playing a game on his phone, making origami frogs or helping out a friend, he kept his mind busy while bringing joy to others. He was an avid reader and show watcher and was a fan of the Harry Potter series, Firefly, The Rookie, Resident Alien and pretty much anything with Nathan Fillion in it. He found an outlet for relaxation in heavy metal music, such as Manowar, Jasmine Cain and Metallica, and attended more concerts than he could count. He was easily spotted riding his motorcycle, rain or shine, with his trademark horned helmet. Proud of his solo motorcycle ride from Maine to Sturgis, SD, he had a blast at Buffalo Chip, and although he didn't get to "pat the fluffy cow", he met Dee Snider during the Legends charity ride, coming back with many stories to tell. His love for adventure meant many trips, including to Gettysburg, Las Vegas and Bermuda and meeting Neil DeGrasse Tyson in Portland. Everett leaves behind so many who will miss him and his fierce protection of those he knew and loved. Everett is survived by many friends and family, including wife Julie and son Crispin, mother Loretta, brothers Christopher and Matthew, his Nan and Pappy (Margorie and Richard), aunts and uncles including Rick, Patrick, Marie, Ira, Bobby, so many more beloved cousins, nieces, nephews, in-laws and Pomeranian Penelope. A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday, November 5 at 1:30 pm at the Rockabema Snow Rangers clubhouse in Patten, ME. For those who could not attend the Celebration of Life in Patten, there will be a tribute to Everett and celebration of his life on Thursday, November 16th at 5 - 7 pm at the North Scarborough Grange No. 495, 74 County Rd., Scarborough, ME 04074. This will be a somewhat non-traditional, service followed by a casual gathering honoring Everett's wishes. In lieu of flowers, those who may wish to donate or help the family in other ways through this difficult time, can call or text (703) 626-0600.
