James Joseph Pound (Joe), 69, passed away on July 10, 2025. Born on April 25, 1956, in Millinocket, Maine, Joe's strong convictions, sense of humour and ability to face life with a positive attitude touched the lives of many. Joe is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Kathryn (Kacy), step children Chris and John, and grandchildren Atticus and Silas, all of Gorham. He is also survived by his two sisters Jane and MaryLou of Millinocket and his nieces and nephew. Joe worked in the health industry as a community response worker for many years and was a strong advocate for mental health support. He was also well-known for rescuing dogs and either taking them into his own home or finding a home for them. He was always rooting for the underdog. Joe was a beloved Husband, Stepfather and Grandfather, and he will be greatly missed. At the family request there will be a private celebration of life held at a later date.
