Jane Evelyn Kenney, 66, a long-time resident of Lisbon Falls, ME (but born and raised in Litchfield, Maine) passed away March 30th, 2025 from her longtime illnesses MS and COPD. Jane was born November 20th, 1958 to her parents, Russell Kenney and Barbara Donahue-Kenney of Litchfield, Maine. Jane was one of a kind. She was always positive, no matter the circumstances. She was kind to everyone, even some that didn't deserve her kindness. Jane Kenney loved with her whole heart and left no room for anger or hatred. Despite her struggles, she was always smiling, upbeat, and never had a negative attitude about a thing. Jane had a love for the outdoors, a love so great that a wheelchair couldn't stop her. She enjoyed gardening in the woods of Maine with some of her favorites, camping with her loved ones, watching the grandkids at sporting events or playing outside, cruising around town on her wheelchair, sipping coffee with the neighbors, and any reason in between as long as it meant taking in some sunshine! She also enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping in her earlier days. She was a true country girl from Maine and loved every bit of it. Music was Jane's other passion. Any genre, any artist, any song but 80s rock was her all-time favorite. You'd find her with the volume all the way up, her body bobbing and she would be singing right along. She associated music with everything and everyone. She loved a good concert too, from a backyard band to a celebrity at a stadium, she enjoyed it all. However, the most important thing to Jane and what she enjoyed the most was family! She loved family so much, she turned friends into family. She enjoyed a lot of great times with good people and cherished every memory she ever made. If she knew you, she loved you! Her sons were her world but her grandchildren made her heart beat. Hugs were her favorite because she loved to give love and feel loved all at the same time. Jane Kenney was predeceased by her firstborn son Christopher Kenney, and her beloved parents Russell and Barbara Kenney, of Litchfield, Maine. Jane is survived by her "baby boy" Nathan Kenney of Lisbon; the "daughter she never had but always wanted" Sheena Weeks of Lisbon; her younger brother and his wife Bobby and Rhonda Kenney of Monmouth; her seven grandchildren that she loved more than anything: Maranda Kenney, Hannah Kenney, Nathan Kenney, Deacan Adams, Deanna Adams, Temperance Trepanier, and Chance Kenney; two nephews Steve and Bryan Kenney; many aunts, uncles and cousins too. As well as all the friends she turned into family. There will be a celebration of life to honor Jane in May. The details of events will be shared by family as they are determined.
