May 4, 1932 - April 10, 2024 Maine - Jeanne Harriet Gaunt Marean, aged 91, of Stroudsburg, Pa, Croton On Hudson, NY, and Maine, passed away peacefully after her long long journey with Alzheimer's Wednesday, April 10, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Jeanne was born on May 4, 1932, in North Bergen, New Jersey, to the late Robert W. and Emily (Walser) Gaunt. She spent her formative years in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, where she developed a deep appreciation for community and family values. In her young adult years, Jeanne worked as a model at Wycoff's Tea Room, where her grace and elegance left a lasting impression. Throughout her life, she exemplified dedication and hard work, holding various customer service roles, including bank teller, law office secretary, and retiring as a department manager at Hess's department store. Jeanne was married to her childhood sweetheart, William Curtis Marean, until their divorce in 1990. She is survived by her daughter, Tara Marean, and her husband, Matty Mozzor, of Maine, her son, Curtis Marean, of Mesa, Arizona, her brother, William Gaunt, of Delaware, and her grandchildren, Shoshanna Mozzor, Spencer Marean, and Sydney Marean. She was predeceased by her brothers Robert, Richard, and Ronald Gaunt. Jeanne's final wishes were cremation, with her ashes to be returned to nature in the Shawnee River Valley, a place she held dear. Jeanne's legacy of love, kindness, and unwavering strength will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
