Obituary

June Ellen (Forbes) Cobb, of Buxton, passed away on Wednesday, March 26, 2025 at Pinnacle Health & Rehab in South Portland, following a short illness. She was born in Portland on September 4, 1945 to parents Freeman B. & June (Smith) Forbes. June graduated from Portland High School. Following graduation, she worked for many years alongside her mother at Sango Shoes on the assembly line. She then worked for Loring, Short, and Harmon for 20+ years, and retired from there. June lived a long and fulfilled life in her nearly 80 years with us. She greatly enjoyed boating with her husband Bob, hosting family cookouts, going to yard sales, trips to Florida and Las Vegas, and long quiet rides all over Maine. She had a passion for Christmas & was well-known for decorating her home on Sherwood Street in Portland. She enjoyed the decorating, but mostly enjoyed meeting all the visitors who would come to see her display every year. June is greatly missed by family, friends, and all the lives she touched. She was married to the love of her life, Robert F. Cobb Sr, for 35 years until his passing in 2019. She is survived by her son Robert (Susan) Morin of Middletown, Ohio, and her late husband's children Bobby Cobb Jr., Jerry Cobb, and Kenny Cobb. She was a very proud grandma of 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. June is also survived by her brother, Freeman Forbes Jr of Bradford, a special cousin Ronnie (Lisa) Muldowney of Waterboro, and special niece Patti Valeriani of New Gloucester. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at Pinnacle Health & Rehab. They welcomed June as if she were their own Mom/ Grandma and provided loving and comfortable care in her final weeks. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. June never, ever said bye at the end of a telephone conversation, or in person. She would always say too-da-loo. So today we say, Too-da-loo June, until we meet again!!!!
