Obituary

Westbrook – Karen (Hall) Chiasson born on May 2, 1948, the daughter of James Leo Hall and Imelda ( Rousseau) Bard, passed away peacefully on March 27, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Karen graduated from Westbrook High School in 1966. Karen devoted her years to being a loving mother and homemaker while raising her three children in Waterville, Maine. Karen met James Chiasson in 1991 and they lived in Ottawa Ontario Canada. They married November 22, 1991 in Portland ME. They spent most of their years together in Gray ME and then returned to Karen's home town of Westbrook ME for her remaining years. Karen had many passions. Flowers, coloring and cooking were all a big partof her life. She was a very talented baker and loved entertaining and cooking for big groups of friends and family. She looked forward to her weekly luncheons with her long time group of friends, nicknamed the "Yaya's". Karen was also an animal lover. She had an affinity for cats throughout her life. It was Bartlett, her Bernese Mountain Dog that she became most attached to. Her little Havaneese Mia misses her with all her heart…. Karen is survived by her husband, James Chiasson, of Westbrook; her children Matthew Grondin and wife Linh of New Hampshire, Andrew Grondin and wife Laura of Litchfield, Me, and son in law Koa Radl of Hawaii. Eight grandchildren, Sadie, Ella, Tessie Radl, Destiny Bromily, Chase (Asaro) Grondin, Tenley (Pham) Grondin, Maddox, and Isla Grondin. Karen was predeceased by her parents Imelda Rousseau Bard, Father James Hall, Sr, and her loving daughter Beth Grondin Radl (of Hawaii). A celebration of life will be held in June.
