Kenneth E. Ritchie passed away at his home in Newfield, Maine, on December 17, 2022, at the age of 72. Kenneth was born to parents Robert and Shirley Ritchie, and was raised alongside his siblings Donna, Debra, Ronald, and Ralph in South Weymouth, Massachusetts. Upon graduating from Weymouth Technical High School in 1967, he began a 30-year career as a highly skilled pressman and foreman of the print floor. After retiring from the print industry, Kenneth's love of the north country brought him to Newfield with wife, Mary, and son, Everett, where they have lived for the past 16 years. Kenneth was a true craftsman at heart, excelling at interior and exterior painting, woodworking, finish carpentry, and antique furniture restoration. He was a proud member of the Newfield Volunteer Fire Department for 11 years, and was a life-long admirer of the Ford Mustang. Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Mary, and their son, Everett; his eldest son, Kenneth, and daughter, Jennifer, from his first marriage; and his three grandchildren, Benjamin, Gavin, and Hunter. A remembrance event open to all is currently being planned for January in the Newfield area, details of which will be posted by a family member via Facebook.
