William Hollman White, 71, of Windham, Maine passed away peacefully at home on September 8, 2026.

Bill was the youngest child of Kendall T. White Sr. and of Constance Fraser White of Cape Elizabeth. Bill attended South Portland schools.

Those who knew Bill will remember him as brilliant, hilarious and beloved. He lived a life full of magic but touched by tragedy and he found peace with his wife Janet Cook White.

Bill had a natural affinity for mechanical processes and machinery and could repair or replace any device. He retired as a Crane Operator of H & H Rigging of Portland.

An elite outdoorsman and proud son of Maine, he could fill his family’s freezer with bow & arrow, musket or shotgun.

Family was at the center of Bill’s life. His beloved Janet Cook White predeceased him and so he was devoted to the care of their daughter, Lillian White of Windham. He is also survived by his two sons Peter White (Sonja Sanborn) and Robert White from his first marriage to Terry Butler. Their infant brother, William Holman White Jr. predeceased both of his parents.

Bill is also survived by children he loved and shared with his beloved Jan: Keith Cook (Peggy), Linda Rackliff (Bryan), and Keith Green. Another child, Aaron Fontes also predeceased Bill. Bill was a proud Grandfather, Uncle and Cousin to many.

Bill leaves behind his siblings who loved him very much, Jane Newton (Dennis), Rebecca Morgan (Robert), Thomas White (Lisa) and Kendall White.

Services will be quiet and private just as Bill requested.
